Damage done to Richard of Eastwell’s tomb….

Richard of Eastwell's tomb

There really are some morons around. If they’re caught, I hope they are punished – by being publicly named and then hurt in their bank balance!

  1. Not conding the damage, obviously, but the tomb is highly unlikely to be Richard’s. Yes, he was buried at Eastwell, but the tomb is far more likely to be Sir Walter Moyle’s (who died c. 1480), not Richard’s. And the tomb is still in better shape than the church…..
Richard would have been buried as he lived, along with the contemporaries with whom he is listed in the burial records.
