Richard's Earliest Seal...

This was on display at Gloucester recently. The card with it said: Seal of the Admiral of England, 1462. This seal matrix was made for Richard, and is the earliest surviving seal used by him. It is inscribed with his coat of arms and ‘S RIC DUC GLOUC ADMIRALLI ANGL I COM DORS T SOMS’ (Seal of Richard Duke of Gloucester, Admiral of England in the Counties of Dorset and Somerset)
